Savory – Mobile app that helps users discover the taste of the city
Savory offers a unique and immersive experience for anyone looking to discover the culinary delights of a new city. With our app, users can taste authentic local dishes and visit iconic food spots while exploring the city and learning about its culture.
First Ideas
After an initial meeting with the stakeholders, they shared their idea with me about developing an app.
The main concept was to create an app that helps users find the best restaurants in the city and provides easy-to-follow tours to guide them between these restaurants.
However, during the research phase, I discovered that while traveling, people are looking for authentic and local experiences. I discussed this finding with the stakeholders, and we decided to change the app’s focus to cater to this aspect of the market.
Research
Due to a highly demanding deadline, conducting in-depth user research wasn’t feasible within the time constraints. As a solution, I opted to rely on existing desk research, understanding that it may not be perfect, but it can be good enough for the first iteration of the MVP. Here are the top insights that helped me to form a hypothesis:

Our Solution
Minimum Viable Product
We wanted to ship MVP version as soon as possible so we have to select only the most important functionalities to start with. To prioritize what is most important I used the Feature Priority Matrix
User Flow
After finalizing the features list for the application, I began the development of the Information Architecture of the app.
Style Guide
Next, I created visual identity for the application that will help with create uniform screens and make it easy to expand the app in the future.
